New York, NY

We are parents, too. We think traveling well and traveling with children shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. We have limited vacation time, and we’re not spending our few days of freedom in lousy hotels eating bad food. We know the world is full of wonderful resorts, cool urban escapes and far-flung lodges that can make our time with our kids count. We want it all, and we don’t think it should be so hard to find. So we’re going to share it with you.

New Hotels to Know

Nicole Rubin

Check out these three new hotels to know for the holiday season. There's a cool Lake Tahoe hotel for the design-conscious family, a stylish stay with a new name in Anguilla, and a grownup getaway for #romance in the Maldives.

Coachman Hotel

A hip family stay in South Lake Tahoe

The Coachman is a cool new hotel in South Lake Tahoe, near Heavenly Village. Traditionally, an escape for road warriors from the Bay area, new direct flights from New York to Reno make it an easy escape from the east coast. Housed in two former motels from the 60s this cool retreat is minutes from the slopes and the beach making it ideal for all seasons.

Four Seasons Anguilla

A stylish beach escape with the kids in the Caribbean

So not new exactly, but this hotel was a Viceroy up until recently. One of our favorite beach escapes for families, this hotel boats two pools (one exclusively for the kids and another for the grownups), multiple restaurants and a spa. Now that it's a Four Seasons, expect extra cool activities for the littles at their Kids for All Seasons club like scavenger hunts and nature walks.

An adults-only resort in the Maldives

This brand new spot is ideal for a couples getaway or honeymoon. With overwater villas, some with their own pools, it is the epitome of beachside paradise. This is a the kind of place you go when you really want to get away from it all. There's no need to leave this resort with three restaurants including an underwater restaurant 5.8 meters below the sea.
