We are parents, too. We think traveling well and traveling with children shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. We have limited vacation time, and we’re not spending our few days of freedom in lousy hotels eating bad food. We know the world is full of wonderful resorts, cool urban escapes and far-flung lodges that can make our time with our kids count. We want it all, and we don’t think it should be so hard to find. So we’re going to share it with you.

Best Kids' Clubs for Winter Break | Beach Edition

Nicole Rubin

If you really want a break from it all this holiday season, there's nothing better than going to a resort with an awesome kids' club to keep the whole family relaxed and happy. The littles get to make new friends while enjoying fun activities and you get some peace by the pool. Read on for our favorite beach getaways with the best kids' clubs around.

Rosewood Mayakoba

Thanks to direct flights from both coasts to Cancun and a blend of eco-adventure plus beachfront bliss, this resort — and this destination — remains one of our all-time Mexican favorites. Their top-notch kids’ club is complimentary and has great activities, from Spanish lessons to eco tours to Mayan story telling with a local shaman. Lagoon studio suites are the least expensive room but are huge, beautiful and have a few double queen options that fit a family of four.

The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman

The kids’ club called Ambassadors of the Environment designed by Jean-Michele Cousteau offers various drop-off programs geared towards older kids (ages 4+). There are also plenty of activities including tennis and free water sports that include snorkeling lessons, paddle-boarding, glass-bottom-boat kayaking, sailing and more. While your little adventurers are out exploring, parents can enjoy the La Prairie Spa or cocktails at Blue by Eric Ripert.

Four Seasons Anguilla

Formerly a Viceroy, this modern property on Meads Bay has a Kids for All Seasons club for young travelers ages 4-11. Activities include nature walks, jewelry making and scavenger hunts. For older kids, there are teen spa appointments, photography workshops, and a "mermaid experience." Meanwhile, parents can grab a rum punch at the Sunset Lounge while unwinding at the adults-only sunset pool.
