We are parents, too. We think traveling well and traveling with children shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. We have limited vacation time, and we’re not spending our few days of freedom in lousy hotels eating bad food. We know the world is full of wonderful resorts, cool urban escapes and far-flung lodges that can make our time with our kids count. We want it all, and we don’t think it should be so hard to find. So we’re going to share it with you.

Manhattan My Way

Henley Vazquez

Brianne Manz has a background in fashion, three young children and a busy New York life, all of which she chronicles in her blog Stroller in the City. She recently shared her favorite places to eat, play and shop in Manhattan with Passported. Follow her family's daily adventures on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Favorite Playground

"We seem to change favorites all the time, but the one that the kids and I have been going to more frequently is West Thames Playground. Inside you will find a sandbox for the littles, a spray ground area, basketball court, and coolest jungle gym with the perfect backdrop of the Freedom Tower."

Best Boutique

"My children adore going to Piccolini shop located on Mott Street in Little Italy. I discovered it about 4 years ago, and it is the perfect one stop shop for unique and special birthday gifts. Plus, my children love the chalkboard table in the front of the store and can play for hours there."

Top Museums

"Two museums we tend to frequent often is the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Both have interactive children's exhibits and we usually make it an all day event whenever we go."

Dinner Time

"For date night, I've been pretty addicted to Javelina. I went first with a good friend then took my hubby back. I think I told so many people about this place that last time we tried to go, we couldn't get a reservation. For family dinner, a fav for us  is El Vez, a Mexican restaurant. My kids can feast on guacamole. Another that just opened downtown is Parm, it's family-style Italian."

Morning Musts

"My favorite place for coffee that I usually go out of my way for every morning is Kaffe 1668. Brunch for us on the weekends is usually at Cowgirl Seahorse. It's located in the South Street Seaport and super kid friendly."

Secret Weapon

"Dry Bar Tribeca. I go once a week. It's my alone time and outlet, although I tend to work for 40 minutes non-stop answering all my emails. In fact, when I don't go my emails are over the top."

HOME SWEET HOME

"I absolutely love every about living and raising my family in Battery Park. There's such a sense of community living down here, you sometimes forget you live in NYC. But I'll take a subway for a strawberry marshmallow macaron from Laduree."
